It’s time for Why Wednesday again, and this week we’re spotlighting Cameron Shiels! He started out as a Tiger Cub, growing up with summer camp at Worth Ranch – and now he’s giving back to the Scouting community as a District Executive in our council. Thank you for your dedication to the Scouting mission, Cameron!
What are your role(s) in Scouting?
I work for Circle Ten Council as the District Executive for Eagle Trail, covering the cities of Allen, Fairview and Lucas. I am also an Eagle Scout, and I used to staff Summer Camp at Worth Ranch.
What is your Scouting Why?
“Scouting has been a fundamental part of my life since I started as a Tiger Cub in First Grade. The lessons I learned and experiences I had in Scouting have shaped who I am today, including earning my Eagle Scout award. As I have experienced the many benefits of Scouting myself, being a part of the amazing staff at Circle Ten Council is my way of paying it forward to bring Scouting to the next generation!”
