For the Kinney family, Scouting isn’t just something you do—it’s something you pass on. From one generation to the next, Scouting has shaped the Kinney family in lasting ways. Now, with a new Scout on the horizon, that legacy is just getting started again.
Starting the Next Chapter
I believe Scouting is more than just a program- it’s a legacy and a place where lifelong skills and memories are built. My dad and uncle are Eagle Scouts, and my brother and I followed in their footsteps. Scouting gave us a safe, reliable place to try new things and learn the foundational skills that prepare you for life.
Now, as a father, that legacy means even more to me. My son is almost old enough to start Cub Scouts, and I’m excited for the chance to create the same kind of memories I had with my dad. It’s special knowing we’ll continue that tradition and welcome a third generation of Kinneys into Scouting.
