“I work for Circle Ten Council because I wanted to be part of an organization that prioritizes making a positive impact on the world, not just profit. I believe the mission and values of Scouting truly reflect that purpose.”
Why do you believe in Scouting?
“Out of all the people I’ve worked with or led, former Scouts — especially Eagle Scouts — consistently stood out. I could always count on them to complete their work with precision, responsibility, and timeliness.”
Why is Scouting important for the youth of today?
“In a world that feels increasingly unstable, Scouting provides youth with structure, leadership opportunities, meaningful friendships, and a strong sense of service. These are foundational tools that help them grow into more capable and prepared adults.”
What impact have you seen or personally experienced through Scouting?
“Last November, while hiking, a friend of mine fell eight feet off a cliff, and suffered a severe head injury and spinal fractures. Despite not knowing the situation, the Eagle Scouts in our group immediately took charge — keeping him calm, preventing shock, and stabilizing him until EMS arrived.
Their quick thinking not only saved his life but likely prevented permanent paralysis. That moment showed me the true impact of Scout training and values in action.”
